Alandria Lloyd is a minister, a change agent, a life coach, and most importantly, she is a mother. Now raising a teenage son, Alandria knows the struggles of those to whom she has pledged her help. After losing two children to premature birth and struggling with the depression and ongoing anxiety that followed, Alandria felt called to become a part of the healing process. She began a non-profit organization called A’Maya’s Army, named for the first child she lost. Alandria now helps provide care packages, financial assistance and resources for single mothers, grieving mothers and teens.
She also runs Change Agent Outreach Ministries. Alandria says, “Change Agents walk in their God given power and authority to change situations and circumstances in their lives, as well as the lives of others.” A’Maya’s Army is a division of Change Agent Outreach ministries.
Empowered and acting on the promises she made to both herself and her community, Alandria Lloyd now resides here in Tangiphaoa Parish with her son Ja’Kobe and has authored books to encourage others including While I’m Waiting and Dear Young Woman.
Alandria Lloyd is our 2020 Grit & Grace Woman of Distinction.
