The Heritage Lecture and Exhibition Opening: Centennial Women’s Suffrage Project and the First Ladies of the Old Governor’s Mansion

The Heritage Lecture and Exhibition Opening: Centennial Women’s Suffrage Project and the First Ladies of the Old Governor’s Mansion will be held February 13, 2020 beginning at 6 p.m. with a reception followed by a panel discussion of the history of the woman’s suffrage movement both nationally and in Louisiana. The panel will feature Dr. Samantha Cavell, Dr. Elizabeth Hornsby, Dr. Lisa Moody and Dr. Carol Madere, all of Southeastern Louisiana University. It will be held at the Old Governor’s Mansion, 502 North Boulevard in Baton Rouge and is being sponsored by Preserve Louisiana. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased by calling 225-387-2464.
